GOMBAK- International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Tazkia University College of Islamic Economic (STEI TAZKIA), Indonesia on Friday. The MoA signing was held at the Conference Room, Office of the Rector IIUM.

The joint venture between these universities will include collaboration which comprise of exchange of staff and students, exchange of publications, research collaborations, joint seminars, conferences and workshops.

Which also include the programmes of integrated knowledge and practical training and short courses to enhance academic curriculum, collaborative programme between IIUM Masters in Islamic Finance and Tazkia Masters of Islamic Economics and any other areas of cooperation that will benefit both parties.

IIUM, represented by its Rector, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, and Tazkia University College of Islamic Economics was represented by it rector, Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin. Witnessed by IIUM Deputy Rector (Internationalisation and Global Network), Prof. Dr Nor Faridah Abdul Manaf and STEI Tazkia, Director of Postgraduate Studies during the signage of the MoA.

According to the Rector, the MoA will give mutual benefits to both universities.

“IIUM can learn something from this university as this private university works on their project that focussed to bring Islamic Economic into practice” he added.

Meanwhile, Rector of STEI Tazkia, stated IIUM has been chosen for this MOA because it is in line with the vision and mission of STEI Tazkia.

She also hoped from this MoA, STEI Tazkia and IIUM can have more collaborations in the term of teaching, research and community services.

On the other hand, this agreement also will see the collaborative Programme between IIUM Masters in Islamic Finance and Tazkia Masters of Islamic Economic as the aim to imbue the integration of knowledge.

Tazkia University College of Islamic Economic (STEI TAZKIA) is a private university in Indonesia and this university focuses the integration of knowledge especially Islamic Economy and other fields.
