Bachelor of Human Sciences in History & Civilization

This undergraduate programme is designed to produce graduates in the field of History and Civilization who are competent, well-acquainted with major trends in world history and imbued with Islamic perspectives. The programme requires 4 years of full-time study.

Programme Description

The programme focuses on providing understanding of the historical forces that have led to contemporary civilizations. It deals with various fields of history and civilization, including ancient civilizations, Muslim history and civilization, Southeast Asian history, Western history and civilization, and history of Islah and Tajdid movements in the Muslim World. A holistic approach is used in the study of human past and this offers an understanding of the causes and processes involved in the rise and fall of civilizations through time and space.
