Alhamdulillah, IIiBF is pleased to share the officiating ceremony for the Mini Library of Badan Amal Darul Mustafa (BADAM), launched by the Hon. Rector, Prof. EmeritusTan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak on the 25th of June 2022.
BADAM is an orphanage located in Janda Baik founded by Ustaz Solehuddin bin Nordin with 11 kids staying there. The Mini Library is part of the IIIBF Flagship project called Islamic Social Finance for B40 Community 2.0 in collaboration with IIUM Library Dar Al-Hikmah. The Mini Library is not only for the orphans in BADAM but also for the neighbouring kids in Janda Baik so that they can benefit from the library.
During the ceremony, BADAM also received RM40,000 from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Dana Insan Malaysia led by Tuan Hj. Ahmad Shukri Yusoff. The ceremony was also attended by the Assemblywomen for Ketari YB Young Syefura Othman, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Faris Abdullah from OSIC.
This effort is part of IIiBF's Islamic Social Finance initiative, led by Prof. Dr. Rusni Hasan, Dr. Syarah Syahira Mohd. Yusoff, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Romzie Rosman, and team members. IIiBF will continue to champion this initiative and welcome any support from the IIUM community and the general public.
