Kuala Lumpur, 13 November 2021. AIKOL Alumni Wing (AAW) organises a two-day programme for young lawyers and students to gain new skills and expand exposure to new areas of practice. Senior judges, lawyers and legal officers contribute as speakers in the programmes.

Bro Lukman Sheriff Alias, the Chairman of AIKOL Alumni Wing welcomes the participants and acknowledges the work of the Programme Coordinator, Bro Yusfarizal Yussoff and the team in organising the event.

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws welcomes the good effort of the AIKOL Alumni Wing in helping young lawyers and students to upskill and reskill in this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world. The volatility could be seen in many context - in the context of the socio-economy, finance, politics and international relations which require many new sets of skills for citizens of the world to navigate.  Such an effort of upskilling and reskilling is in line with the mission of the Kulliyyah to work towards just laws and just legal systems through the process of harmonisation of Shari’ah and law that are championed by balanced graduates.

The thrust of the programme, named as Cultivate 2.0, is to enhance the competency of the young lawyers in the areas of, among others, due diligence, competition law, maritime law and social media law.
