IIUM is repositioning itself in this initial duration of 2019 - 2020 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nation (UN) will serve as a guide to all activities undertaken by the Kulliyyahs. Aligning with this new direction, KAHS has taken initiative to introduce these strategic  efforts among its members through a townhall meeting on 21 March 2019. All members were briefed by the Dean of KAHS (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suzanah Abdul Rahman) on the aspirations of the University and efforts, target and measures that have been put in place by all quarters in IIUM. Also, the goals and targets of KAHS were explained. In the effort to partly achieve the goals, KAHS has proposed to the university a flagship programme known as Health Information and Knowledge from Malay Medical Manuscripts (HIKAM) which is led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Affendi Mohd Shafri. Dr. Affendi proceeded to brief all members on the flagship programme, its  aim and objectives including the history and the essence of the projects to be undertaken and how KAHS members can contribute.
