The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme was successfully held at Sg. Mas, Sg Lembing, Kuantan Pahang. 5 staff from CFS IIUM, 40 students from Perkim Club, 4 staff from JAKIM, Kuantan with more than 250 Orang Asli Community participated in the 3 days 2 nights programme. It was conducted on 19th-21st April 2019. Some of the activities conducted are sport games, tele match, course on improving solat, jungle trekking, video show and cooking with the villagers.
The programme aims to create awareness among the Orang Asli community regarding their education quality and to reduce the poverty. The long term goal is to have more villagers to practice the way of Islam and enhance their quality of life.
Tuan Hj. Murshid Kassim, Dean of CFS was one of the guests of honor during closing ceremony. Alhamdulillah the programme met its objective. We have created a bond between the villagers and CFS community. More programme will be held in the future to gradually give exposure to the villagers so that they too will enjoy the fruits of modernization and Islamization.
