IIUM JOINS NATIONAL ALLIANCE OF MENTAL HEALTH

Petaling Jaya, 12 April 2021. A newly formed National Alliance of Mental Health (NAMH), the first of its kind in Malaysia, engages with organizations of Person with disabilities (PWDs), mental health NGOs, social enterprises, Institutions of Higher Learning and other stakeholders at the country level to work on peers' rights hence making this Alliance the first peer-based mental health alliance in Malaysia.

This Alliance aspires to provide a constructive platform for a louder voice to promote, protect and ensure the rights of PWDs and work towards the Inclusion of peers in the various aspects of life including education, employment, housing, social protection & health, home &family and more.

IIUM is pleased to be one of the members of this alliance and proud to announce that Br. Saiful Redza Mohamed, the Covering Director of Counseling and Career Services Centre has been appointed as Vice President 2 of the alliance.
