IIUM Kuantan Projects Exploration and Fact Finding Team Visit to CIDC and CIMC, Bangladesh

KUANTAN, 7 March 2018 - From 26th February to 2nd March 2018, Office of the Campus Director (OCD), IIUM Kuantan in colloboration with Office of Promotion and Marketing campus have organised a mobility programme called IIUM Kuantan Projects Exploration and Fact Finding Team Visit to Chattagram International Dental College (CIDC) and Chattagram International Medical College (CIMC), Bangladesh. This mobility programme was lead by Prof Dr. Jamalludin Ab. Rahman, Deputy Dean (Postgraduate), Kulliyyah of Medicine, joined by Assoc Prof. Dr. Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Saufi Awang, Deputy Director (Clinical), IIUM Medical Centre, Assitant Professor Dr Muhd Firdaus bin Che Musa, Networking Coordinator, Kulliyyah of Dentistry and Mr Mohd Danial Jamaludin, Senior Assitant Director, OCD.
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Chattagram International Medical and Dental College (CIMDC) recently signed the memorandum of understanding (MOA) for the purpose of faculty members/ students exchange and conducting/ organise joint research/conference. The purpose of this visit to Bangladesh is a reciprocal faculty members visit to CIMDC to explore the possibility areas for collaboration between two institutions. The team also visited Rohingya refugees Camp at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
As for the dentistry, the visit to CIMDC had achieved its objectives with exchanges of ideas between the two institutions on potential areas for future collaborations such as student exchange program, publication, humanitarian visit to Rohingya Camp, and jointly conducted and organized research/conference based on mutual benefits of the two institutions.
