Students of IIUM Kuantan and Pagoh to join as volunteers and committees of BUMICA 2019


One Stop Students Center (Wadi Budi), IIUM Kuantan Campus has organized Budi Outreach Mission to Cambodia 2019 on 29 until 31 July 2019.

This mission aims to give aids and education for the poor Muslims community in Cambodia – specifically in Kampong Chhnang province.

There were 21 students including students from Kulliyyah of Languages and Management (KLM), IIUM Pagoh who are Sarah Azila Mazilan, Haura-Uzzahra Zulkifli, Khairunnisa Aimin Saifuddin and Muhammad Fadhil Zaidi Zainuddin accompanied by the Deputy Dean of Student Development, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nonglaksana Kama and her daughter Faten Kama (Dietetic Student, IIUM Kuantan)  including three other lecturers:  Sr. Siti Aisah Abas, Dr. Siti Salwa Mohd Sawari and Dr. Nur Hidayah Abd Rahman.

The five days and four nights stay saw the volunteers prepared for medical and dental check-up as well as hearing screening by IIUM Kuantan Team. Not to forget, the children of Kampong Chhnang were also be given the opportunities to learn through the educational slot.

IIUM Pagoh team have been given the responsibility to run the educational activities with the kids. 



The children were enjoying the water coloring activities and were very creative in decorating the given picture.



IIUM Pagoh team also managed to visit Madrasah Ar-Rahmah to get closer with the school kids. The team had prepared workbook module for the children to learn English and Mathematics.

The children in madrasah were enjoying the interactive learning with a lot of fun videos projected for them. It was a new experience for the children as they were still using the chalk and blackboard in their school.
