IIUM TAKRIM DAY 2020: CFS AWARD RECIPIENTS

CFS awards recipient with the Dean of CFS, Tuan Haji Murshid Kassim


Recognised for their significant contributions and achievements to the university and communities in their respective fields, four CFS staff received the awards in different categories at IIUM Takrim Day 2020 presentation ceremony held at IIUM Gombak on 9th July 2020.

IIUM Takrim Day or formally known as Quality Day is an annual event honouring the remarkable achievement of the University community. This annual event recognise and honour the academic staff based on their contribution in teaching, discovery of knowledge, scientific and creative publication, and transferring or expansion of knowledge.

This year, CFS is tremendously proud to have award recipients from among staff for four different awards, two from each academic and administrator staff respectively. Heartiest congratulations to all award winners from CFS!

The recipients of the IIUM Takrim Award by categories are:



Grand Award, Outstanding Administrator Award Professional and Management

CFS IIUM won 3rd place for the IIUM Eco-Campus Competition


Apart from that, CFS has also been announced as the third place winner for the IIUM- Eco Campus Competition with the project, CFS Gambang: IIUM’s First Green Campus which is led by the CFS director. This competition is to encourage the involvement of non-academic staff of IIUM to participate and stimulate discussions, ideas and skills in making IIUM as an eco-friendly campus.

IIUM has made history as the first university in Malaysia to receive an International Green Gown Award for the 2020 Best Sustainable Institution category. This award recognises exceptional sustainable initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the world. It is endorsed by United Nation Environment and supported by The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), L'Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), The Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) and International Association of Universities (IAU).
