NINE IIUM LECTURERS LISTED AMONG 300 INFLUENTIAL WOMEN IN THE WORLD

GOMBAK, 24 June - Nine International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) lecturers listed among the most influential woman in Islamic Finance field from Cambridge International Finance Advisory.
The list was announced during the “2nd WOMANi Gala Dinner and Awards' ceremony held at JW Marriot Marquis Hotel, Dubai, recently.
Cambridge International Finance Advisory is a financial services organization centre at United Kingdom (UK), which provides strategic advisory services to government bodies, financial institutions and two-way organization in developing financial market.
The nine lecturers comprise of three professors, four academic lecturers, and two academic fellows.
All nine of them are from the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIBF) and Kulliyyah of Economy and Management Science (KENMS), Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Law (AIKOL), and Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS)IIUM.
They are Prof. Engku Rabiah Adawiyah, Prof. Rusni Hassan, Prof. Madya Dr. Salina Kassim from IIBF. Meanwhile, Prof. Madya Dr Irwani Abdullah and Prof. Dr. Maliah are from KENMS.
Prof. Madya Dr. Uzaimah Ibrahim and Prof. Madya Dr. Akhtarzaite Abdul Aziz are from AIKOL and IRKHS respectively. The other two are academic fellow from IIBF which are Datin Zariah Abu Samah dan Zarinah Mohd Yusoff.
With this nine lecturers' recognition, it proves to the world that their efforts and dedications in mastering islamic finance and respective field enable them to be listed in the most influential woman category.
It is also an effort in propelling IIUM to global ranking in banking and islamic finance.
For the record, in 2016 IIUM was once ahead in Banking and Islamic Finance field at international level.
The achievement recognised through database from SCORPUS which is a Bibliography Database that collects academic journal article, abstract and international research.
According to SCORPUS, the highest article and research in banking and islamic finance are from IIUM which contributed 11 percent in the publication.
