Bustan al-'Ilm

Objectives:

* To provide an avenue for senior citizens to continuously gain Islamic religious knowledge and practice Islamic teachings which is in line with the concept of lifelong learning. 

* To provide job opportunities for IIUM graduates with adequate skills and competencies by serving the Centre on various capacities based on their specializations and abilities. 

* To provide venue for IIUM students to do their practical training and observe the experience and the real life of the elderly which can then directly and indirectly educate them to be more appreciative of their life. 

It is proposed that IIUM confers certificates to the participants upon completion of the modules. The internal and external pilot projects have already been conducted with the collaboration with Masjid Wilayah, KL, IIUM Kuantan campus, SHAS Msjid Tuanku Mizan Zainul Abidin, Putrajaya respectively.
