ABOUT US

Background

The Centre will be a spot centre of research and academic platform in peace studies. The Centre is to exclusively concentrate on peace researches, implement related activities, and offer an academic programme on peace studies which will cover a wide range of law related issues. The Centre will strive to find solutions through researches, public lectures, and publications towards peace matter and criminalisation of war. In addition, the Centre will organise a Training of Trainers (ToT) for national and international peace specialists and activists. The Centre is located at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia, Gombak Campus, and be run by a Director.

Objective

The general objective of the Centre is to establish a spot centre of peace studies and to organise some related activities which focus on peace solution.

The specific objective of the Centre will be:

-          To establish a world class research centre that will conduct researches on peace matters and criminalisation of war.

-          To organise talk activities such as public lectures, professional lectures, regular seminars, and international conferences in the topic of the peace matter.

-          To organise a Training of Trainers (ToT) to peace specialists and activists.

-          To publish books, monographs, and peace journals.

-          To establish a postgraduate programme in the area of peace and criminalisation of war.

-          To collaborate with national and international bodies to engage in researches and conferences on peace and criminalisation of war.

Visionary to global peace within humanity, social, economical, and political.  

Mission To establish a global peace one-stop centre and to develop peace practical and sustainable in substantive knowledge on peace, humanity, and diplomacy.
