Dr. Normaziah was invited as the Facilitator for The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) and Collaborative Research in Science, Engineering & Technology (CREST) in a workshop and focus group discussion on “Deploying ArtificiaI Intelligence and Machine Learning for Common Good - Setting the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Agenda for Home-Grown Solutions” Workshop. The workshop was held on 15 August 2019, at Academy of Sciences Malaysia, MATRADE Tower.

Among the objectives of this workshop is to chart the way forward for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) adoption in Malaysia. The proposal will be tabled to the government for RMK-12.

“Jazakillah for the kind wishes. It is not for me alone. My team members in the Computational Intelligence research group has some substantial technical AI and ML work that is recognised and referred to by others, particularly Assoc. Prof. Dr. Amelia’s research and publications. She has sound hardcore AI background and bring our research team members along to work hard & smart.

“Each of us compliment our strength to offer beneficial home grown solutions. Not just applied but also in control of the backend engine of the solutions. Serious and sincere hard and smart work are needed to make ourselves significant, particularly in the eyes of Allah swt.,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Normaziah.
