Understanding the Quran Via Youth Excellent Study Circle 2019

CHERAS, 9 MARCH 2019 - Dr Nadzrah Ahmad, Head Department of Quran and Sunnah, officiated the Youth Excellent Study Circle 2019 program at SMK Seri Bintang Utara, SMK (SBU) on saturday.
This programme was a collaboration between the Department of Quran and Sunnah, Kulliyyah Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences and Centre for Language and Pre University Academic Development ( CELPAD), aimed to instil and nurture the characteristics of genuine mu’min among the youth.
Apart from that, this programme also wanted to bring the youth closer towards the Quran and Sunnah through discussion on selected Quranic verses between the students and IIUM facilitators.
Dr Nadzrah Ahmad also added, she was pleased to get an invitation to run this programme at this school.
"After the invitation from ERT SETAPAK Vocational College and Sekolah Dato Ahmad Razali in the year 2017 and 2018, we are more than pleased to receive the invitation from this school to conduct this programme" She told IIUM TV.
She also added that this programme will be held starting from March until November and it will involve the students from IIUM as the facilitators and the students from Asrama Kompleks Sri Bintang.
Meanwhile, the Senior Assistant of Students Affairs of SMK Seri Bintang Utara , Pn. Faridah Binti Meor Ahmad hoped that the students can gain many benefits through this programme.
"I hope that this programme will give positive impact towards students of SMK SBU and they will become holistic students, who put the Al Quran and Sunnah as guidance in their daily lives" she added.
In addition, one student told IIUM TV that he believed this programme can give benefits to the students in better understanding of the Al Quran and As Sunnah.
Muhammad Alif Imran, a form five student said " I hope that, the students can gain abundance of knowledge from this programme and able to imbued the moral values in their daily lives".
