Expert Profile


Dr Maizatul Akma Ibrahim received her Bachelor's degree (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2007 and later pursued her Ph.D (Biotechnology) research in 2009 at University Malaysia Terengganu and graduated in 2013. Dr Maizatul has the expertise in handling and studying pathogenic microorganisms, synthetic compounds, computational chemistry and mathematical modelling tools, as well as tissue culture. She also has experience in working in the field of biomaterials and protozoology.
Dr Maizatul joined International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in July 2014 as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Plant Science, Kulliyyah of Science.
