Dear Respected IIUM Researchers,

This is to inform that the MCMC in collaboration with the Malaysian-American Commission on Education Exchange (MACEE) is offering specialized grants in the focused areas in communications and multimedia.

We are pleased to inform that applications for the Fulbright-MCMC Grants (2017-2018 academic year) are now open to Malaysians and Americans for the following:

i.   Malaysian Graduate Study grant – Open to Malaysian for pursuing full-time one year master’s degree

(Deadline: August 5, 2016)

ii.    Malaysian Senior Researcher grant – Open to academics and professionals to study and/or conduct research in the US (Deadline: November 4, 2016);

iii.   US Senior Research grant – Open for US citizens wishing to conduct research and/or teach in a Malaysian academic or non-academic institution/body; and

iv.   US Senior Specialists grant – Open to US citizens only to undertake consultation, training or collaborative work in a Malaysian host institution.

The eligible areas of study and research for the above Awards include the following priority areas:

• Smart Digital Nation (Cities and Communities)
• Data Sciences and Analytics
• Internet of Things
• Information and Network Security
• Policy and Regulatory Matters (spectrum, competition, access pricing etc.)
• Digital Inclusion
