INVITATION TO APPLY FOR THE 2021 TIN BOARD RESEARCH GRANT

With all due respect, we refer to the above.

 2. We are pleased to inform that the Tin Industry (Research and Development) Board is inviting researchers to apply for the research grants to carry out research based on Tin.

3. The research should be at least capable of providing benefits and positive effects to the local tin industry as well as developing and increasing the production and use of tin in Malaysia. Successful applications will be provided with a grant up to RM10,000 to subsidise the research initiative. The grant must be used up within one year from the date of disbursement.

4. In relation to that, YBhg. Dato ’/ Datuk / Datin / YBrs. Prof./ Dr./ Tuan / Puan is invited to conduct scientific research using the 2021 Tin Research Grant. Enclosed is the 2021 Tin Board Research Grant Application Form.

Enclosed is the Invitation Letter for the 2021 Tin Research Grant, Surat Geran Penyelidikan UIAM for your reference.

Guidelines:

i. Successful applications will be provided with a grant of up to RM10,000 to subsidise the research initiative

ii. The amount can be used for the purchase of consumables, the publication of findings, attending ONE relevant seminar, conference, forum or meeting (preferably for paper presentation) but cannot be used for the hiring of assistants or other purposes not directly related to the research.

iii. The grant must be used up within one year from the date of disbursement

iv. Recipients will be required to submit two progress reports, one six months and the other one year, after disbursement, of his/her research work including how the grant has been utilised.

All applications must reach the Tin Board Secretariat Office on or before 31st March 2021.
