HALAL CERTIFIED FOOD OUTLETS

Congratulationsto Facilities, Food and Services Department and food operators for the Halal Certification received recently. Alhamdulillah, five (5) food outlets in IIUM Gombak has successfully obtained the Halal Certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) on 1^st June 2014

The Halal Certification project was initiated in May 2013 and is part of the continuous improvement of food services in the University. The objective is to ensure that all food served to the IIUM community are safe and halal in accordance with Islamic principle. As such, all food operators are required to comply with the halal standard of JAKIM.

To support the Syariah Based Quality Management System in IIUM, the Halal Certification project will be extended to all food outlets in Gombak campus focusing the mahallah cafeterias.

May Allah ease our efforts to carry out the project in order to provide Halal food to IIUM community.
