NOTIFICATION ON TRAFFIC LIGHT ACTIVATION FOR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS – GOMBAK CAMPUS

 Assalamualaikum w.b.t.,

 Dear all IIUM Community,

 May this email reach you while you are in good health by the grace of Allah s.w.t.

 We are pleased to inform you that IIUM, through the Disability Services Unit (DSU) has implemented a new Traffic Light to enhance the accessibility of our disabled individuals in safely navigating the streets.

However, from the observation, many of the road users have violated and disobeyed this traffic light, which can lead to dangerous situations and an increase the risk of accidents especially for the disabled individuals.

 Please note that traffic violations will be charged under IIUM Road Traffic Regulations 2015 Part IV PARKING AND TRAFFIC OFFENCES 10(1) - A person shall comply with all traffic directions and with all traffic signs provided in the University Campus.

 It is crucial for all road users to understand the significance of traffic lights and the potential consequences of their actions and to always obey them for the safety of everyone on the road.
