EXTENDED DEADLINE: Application for 2021 YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award

The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) through Young Scientists Network-ASM (YSN-ASM) has successfully organised the 2020 YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award. This award aims to identify and recognise the talents of promising future researchers in Malaysia as well as empower them in alignment with the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) outlook of Malaysia. Mr Lam Jia Yong from Universiti Putra Malaysia was announced as the First Place Winner of the 2020 YSN-ASM Chrysalis Award during the Chrysalis Award Final Pitch on 9 January 2021.
The award is now open for application for the 2021 cycle. The applicants should be a final year PhD science student including from social science and aged below 35 years old. All applicants are required to submit their A4-sized research poster, a 200 words motivational essay, the latest curriculum vitae, and a passport photo to the organiser via http://bit.ly/ChrysalisApplication2021 by 29 March 2021. Selected finalists will have the opportunity to be mentored by YSN-ASM. They will be evaluated in a series of virtual workshops and will present team proposal during the Chrysalis Award Final Pitch scheduled in November 2021. Further details are available at :
