IIUM Rector started a series of visits to all Kulliyyahs

Gombak, 4 January - - Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dato Dzukifli Abdul Razak, Rector of International Islamic University Malaysia(IIUM) today has started a series of visits to all Kulliyyahs to provide explanation on the new direction, vision and mission of IIUM.
Today, his first visits were to Kulliyyah of Engineering and Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design.
Present at today's meeting were the Dean of KOE, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Faris Bin Ismail, Dean of KAED, Prof. Ar.Dr. Abdul Razak Sapian, Deputy Deans, heads of departments and senior officers of the Kulliyyahs.
In this meeting, the rector explained the direction he wanted and how the kulliyyah can help the university to achieve United Nation University status, Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability.
"what I want to bring to IIUM in order for it to become one of the universities that can achieve United Nation recognition.
"to achieve that status the university needs to have a huge impact on the community around the world. For example creating social networking with the local people around the campus by organizing various integration activities between the university and the community".he added
The objective of this meeting is to provide the guidelines and how to get started on what has been planned so that we can move as a team. In addition, this series of visits by the rector is to provide a clear explanation on what is to be achieved.
He also shared that the changes made will be in line with the National Education Philosophy, which will be the core and guidelines of these changes.
