OFFICIAL GUIDELINE FOR CAMPUS REOPENING 01/2021 - KULLIYYAH OF EDUCATION

  1. INTRODUCTION TO THE KOED GUIDELINE:

    1. This guideline is for the students and staff of the Kulliyyah of Education, IIUM.

    2. This guideline is to be read together with the IIUM OFFICIAL GUIDELINE FOR CAMPUS

      REOPENING 01/2021.

    3. Should there be any discrepancies between the two, the IIUM OFFICIAL GUIDELINE FOR

      CAMPUS REOPENING 01/2021 takes precedence.

  2. COMMENCEMENT OF CLASSES

1. Classes will commence on 18th October 2021. This is to give relevant students adequate time to prepare for their return to campus (for example, to complete their vaccination program).

C. MODE OF TEACHING

  1. All Guidance and Counseling courses (UG and PG) are to be conducted face-to-face (f2f), as required by the Lembaga Kaunseling Malaysia. For Guidance and Counseling students who are unable to return to campus for the f2f instruction, please contact the Head of Department, Assistant Professor Dr Norwati Binti Mansor (norwati@iium.edu.my) or the Administrative Assistant/PA, Sr Norazlinda Binti Hussin (hnorazlinda@iium.edu.my) for advice.

  2. For other courses that have requested for f2f instruction, please ensure that all relevant students are able to attend the classes f2f. Otherwise, these courses are to be offered fully online.

  3. All other courses are to be conducted online.

  4. For f2f classes, the Academic Office will assign classrooms relevant to the number of students to ensure that all the required SOP for f2f classes are adhered to.

D. WORK FROM HOME

  1. All academic staff who are teaching online are encouraged to work from home (WFH).

  2. All administrative staff is required to follow the work schedule prepared by the Dean’s Office as well as per the requirements of the respective Deputy Deans and head of Departments.
