Expert Profile
Presently, Dr Nor Azizan Che Embi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia. She has served International Islamic University Malaysia since 1997. Prior to joining International Islamic University Malaysia, she worked in Central Bank of Malaysia as examiner/auditor for commercial bank.
She attached to Department of Examination 1, which is now known as Supervision Department. She holds Diploma in Banking from Mara Institute of Technology in 1994 . She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business with Finance major from Oklahoma City University, USA in 1997 and received her Master in Business Administration with major in Finance from University of Malaya in 2000. She obtained her Doctor of Business Administration Specialize in Finance from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2011.
Her research in the area of Shariah compliance screening on stock market has won a gold medal in IIUM Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2013. In 2018, she received a best paper award from her research on REITs waqf administered by National Institute of Valuation under the NAPREC grant. Another completed research project that used waqf structure is Waqf Flood Takaful. Another research on waqf affordable house already completed and in the process to prepare the executive summary.
