In the realm of Finance, Ahmad Khaliq emerges as a vibrant inspiration, seamlessly weaving between the roles of researcher and educator. His odyssey commenced with the acquisition of a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) from the esteemed institution of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2009, thus marking the genesis of his scholarly voyage. Venturing forth into the industry, Ahmad Khaliq's expedition commenced in 2010 as he embarked upon a career with Measat Broadcast Network System Bhd, harvesting invaluable insights along the way. Undeterred by the allure of corporate realms, his thirst for knowledge propelled him to further horizons, culminating in the attainment of a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance from IIUM, followed by a resolute pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the prestigious Azman Hashim Business School, UTM. Here, amidst the scholarly outwork, he meticulously cultivated his dissertation, delving into the intricate realms of Waqf financing and capital markets. His passion found its crescendo in the dissemination of knowledge, as evidenced by his contributions to academic discourse. His scholarship found expression in numerous papers and journals, gracing both local and international symposiums with his scholarly expositions. The research area of interest includes Islamic banking and finance, financial management, Takaful, Waqf financing and corporate finance. Noteworthy among his recognition is the distinguished paper award bestowed upon him at the 2015 International Symposium on Business and Management – Fall Season, held in the cultural embrace of Kyoto, Japan. Further, his scholarly odyssey was furnish with the honor of the best paper award at the 10th Foundation of Islamic Financial Conference (FIFC) hosted by Sunway University in 2019. Similarly, his intellectual acumen was celebrated at the 10th Asean International Conference on Islamic Finance (AICIF 2022), where his discourse on the Takaful industry merited the coveted best paper award. Presently position within the honored halls of academia, Ahmad Khaliq adorns the responsibility of an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, IIUM, since August 2020. He is passionate about people's empowerment especially in education and enriches fellowship to realize their abilities and potential for greater qualities of lives.
