Dear IIUM Community,

Office of Deputy Dean (Postgraduate & Research), in collaboration with the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, Kulliyyah of Medicine, would like to invite all staff and students to attend our upcoming "2021 Virtual 3-Minute Thesis Competition". In this research communication competition developed by the University of Queensland, PhD students are given 3 minutes to present their thesis and its significance to non-specialist viewers concisely.

The details of the programme are as follows:

Date/Day: April 5th 2020 / Monday

Time: 2:30 pm-4.00 pm

In 2019, our PhD student, Dr Wan Fatein Nabeila Wan Omar, who is now our full-time lecturer, won the Science and Technology Category at the National 3MT competition on 25th, 2019, which can be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/UPSIMalaysia/videos/384005118914454/.

Last year, our current PhD student, Dr Mohd Afzal Alias won the 3MT competition for Science and Technology category at the university (IIUM) level and represented Malaysia in the Virtual Asia-Pacific 3MT Semi-Final on September 14th, 2020, which can be viewed at https://threeminutethesis.uq.edu.au/asia-pac-3mt-semi-final-showcase.
