INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE FOR COMMUNICATION CONFERENCE

(ILCC 2013)

The International Language for Communication Conference (ILCC 2013) was the inaugural conference hosted and organised by Kulliyyah of Languages and Management. The theme of the conference, "Engaging Global Community: breaking the barriers to effective communication". The three days conference, 23^rd to 25^th August 2013, witnessed the presentation and participation of esteemed participants from 22 countries.

The daily highlights were the presentation by distinguished keynote speakers. The invited keynote speakers were Prof. Dr. Deborah Healey (Gamification: Communicating with Digital Natives), Prof. Dr. Mohamed Amin Embi (Engaging Global Community with Open Educational Resources or OER), Prof. Emeritus Dato' Dr. Asmah Hj. Omar (Discourse Through Letters: A Social-Functional Approach) and Prof Dato' Dr. Hassan Basri bin Awang Mat Dahan (The Teaching and Learning of Arabic For Communication: Malaysia's Perspective).
