Expert Profile
Nur Nabilah binti Abdullah is an Assistant Professor at the Kulliyyah of Languages and Management, IIUM. She obtained her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the Newcastle University, United Kingdom, M.Sc TESL from University Putra Malaysia and her B.Ed (Hons) in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from the University Putra Malaysia. Her experiences in teaching English Language programmes, mainly to Malaysian students and International students, have provided valuable insights for her to develop her interest in ESL/ EFL research. Her research interests encompass conversation analysis, ESL/ELF interaction, multimodality, classroom interaction, social interaction analysis, intercultural communication, and English for Specific Purposes (ESP). She invites potential students intrigued by multimodality and interactional competence in ESL/EFL settings, as well as those interested in intercultural communication and the application of English in specific professional domains.
