- Improvement of biosensor performances by integration of gold and silver-based internal and external labels (current work with industry)
- Syntheses and applications of red palm oil nanoemulsion for food and biomedical applications (current)
- Syntheses and applications of activated carbon from biomass wastes such as durian skin and manufacturing wastes such as carbon chips of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (current)
- Syntheses of ligand-protected gold, silver and bimetallic gold-silver nanoclusters and nanoparticles for catalysis and antimicrobial application (current)
- Syntheses, characterizations and catalytic applications of ligand-protected gold and gold-silver nanoclusters (Ph.D.)
- Extraction of high value chitin from shrimp shell waste (side project of Ph.D.)
- Development of metal nanocluster catalysts for gas remediation (side project of Ph.D)
- Production of biodiesel from sludge palm oil by enzymatic transesterification (MSc.)

- Development of functional nanomaterials (noble metal nanoclusters/nanoparticles, metal oxide nanoparticles, nanoemulsions) for catalysis, electronics, biomedical, food and environmental applications.
- Fundamental understanding and molecular dynamic of metal nanocluster and metalloenzyme
- Functionalization of nanomaterials with biogenic ligands/stabilizers/supports for catalysis and biomedical application (antimicrobial applications)
- Toxicology of nanomaterials for safety and health regulatory
- Waste to wealth - Conversion of agricultural/domestic/manufacturing wastes into value added products (such as activated carbon, catalysts, etc)
- Process optimization - Artificial Neural Network (ANN)
