AIKOL PREPARES AN EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY ROOM TO TEND THE MENTAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS

Gombak, 25 March 2021. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) prepares to design and to assemble an ‘Expressive Arts Therapy Room’ to help students and staff take care of their mental health. The Counselling and Career Services Centre (CCSC) of the International Islamic University Malaysia helps AIKOL in this project.
As a follow up to the Round Table Discussion on Mental Health Issues organised with CCSC on 1 March 2021, Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib (Dean) together with Dr Tajul Aris Ahmad Bustami (Deputy Dean, Student Development and Community Engagement) and Br Anas Shamsudin (Deputy Director) visit the facilities at CCSC, including the ‘Expressive Art Room’. Br Saiful Redza Mohamed (Covering Director) in welcoming the delegation from AIKOL, gives his commitment to assist AIKOL in realising the Expressive Arts Therapy Room’s project.
Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib acknowledges the need to provide better environment and supporting facilities to students while enhancing the rigours of the professional law programme in line with the vision of the Kulliyyah and the need of the industry. He expresses his gratitude for the service and support given by Br Saiful Redza and his team in tending the mental health of all members of the Kulliyyah.
