Gombak, 29 September 2021. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akmal Hidayah Halim, the Head of Responsible Research and Innovation at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) welcomes colleagues to the AIKOL Sharing Session with the topic of Successfully Proposing and Completing Consultancy Projects.

She hopes that the sharing session will guide and spur consultancy projects at the Kulliyyah.

Professor Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of AIKOL, in welcoming colleagues to the programme considers consultancy projects as a platform of the Kulliyyah’s mission in working towards just laws and just legal systems through the process of harmonisation of Shariah and law which is championed by balanced graduates. In consultancy projects, students have the opportunity to be involved and to gain experience in working with the stakeholders in the public and private agencies.

Professor Nik Ahmad Kamal Nik Mahmod, as the first speaker advises colleagues to understand the need of the client in their consultancy proposal by asking how the project could solve the problem of the client for them to have a winning proposal.

Professor Ainul Jaria Maidin highlights the importance of mentors to guide and to introduce academics to the world of consultancy. To ensure timely completion of projects, the project leader should provide direction and guidance to the team members.
