IUM Pagoh students have recently gone to several Tadika Kemas around Pagoh to share information with the young learners at the Kindergartens on areas related to the Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs). Visits to schools and pre-schools are done every semester through the Persuasion and Speech Communication classes under the supervision of Dr. Lilisuriani Abd Latif, so that the IIUM students can be trained on how to interact to people of different age groups. With the Kindergarten children, the students presented topics like How to Save Malayan Tigers, Ways of Saving Your Food and The Importance of Staying Clean; and carried out activities with the small children. According to one of the students who were involved in this exercise, Anis Farhanah Baderulnizam, the exercise made her realized how important it is to always consider her style of speaking and who she is speaking to. While Fatin Nurain Abdul Munir said that talking to the young was challenging but it had helped her to think out of the box and to be out of her comfort zone as she had to think the way children think so that the messages she delivered could be understood.
