Kuala Lumpur, 8 September 2021. Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), International Islamic University Malaysia visits the Embassy of Turkey in Kuala Lumpur in the effort to have wider engagement with its international stakeholders. Mr Sinan Cem Bas, the Deputy Head of Mission and Madam Zeynep Havva Rafique Ali, the Press Counsellor of the Embassy of Turkey welcome the delegates from AIKOL headed by the Dean, Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib.

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib extends the Kulliyyah’s indebtedness to Her Excellency Dr Merve Kavakci, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Malaysia for Her Excellency graciously acceding to the proposal of the visit from the Kulliyyah.



The Kulliyyah shares their appreciation for the assistance and cooperation from colleagues in universities in Turkey particularly in student mobility programmes and in research. Students who went for student exchange programmes expressed their gratitude to their host university Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University in providing amazing reception and assistance to our students.



Mr Sinan Cem Bas gives assurance to the delegates that the Embassy will provide every assistance needed with regard to opportunities for scholarships to students to continue their study in Turkey and enlarging and deepening relationship with leading universities in Turkey.



Madam Zeynep Havva Rafique Ali welcomes the opportunity to work closer with AIKOL including the sharing of expertise from Turkey.

The Kulliyyah highlights their postgraduate programmes such as LLM, MCL, PhD which contains the specialisation in International Law, Business Law, Islamic Banking and Finance, and Administration of Islamic Law. The Harun M. Hashim Law Centre that provides continuing legal education services also provides customised training on Harmonisation of Shariah and Law, Halal regulations, Islamic banking and finance, competition law, data protection, intellectual property, waqf, media law, integrity, anti-corruption laws and many more.
