Gombak, 26 August 2021. The course outline should not be considered simply as a bureaucratic requirement, but as a tool for instructors to achieve the outcome of the course which in turn contributes to the achievement of the objective of the academic programme and the Kulliyyah. Thus, it is pertinent to understand the relationship between the course outline and the mission of the Kulliyyah.

Assoc Prof Dr Lihanna Borhan, the Director of the Office of Knowledge for Change and Advancement (KCA) of the International Islamic University Malaysia in a briefing to colleagues from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), explains that the Sejahtera Academic Framework (SAF) articulates humanising education to achieve Rahmatan lil- Alamin.  To ensure that the delivery of courses within an academic programme serves the programme outcome and in turn achieves the objective of Rahmatan lil-Alamin, the outcome of the course with the method of teaching and the assessment should be constructively aligned.

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws emphasises that the course outline thus should explain how that particular course aids in attaining the mission of AIKOL in working towards just laws and just legal systems through harmonisation of Shari’ah and law which is championed by balanced graduates.
