ANNOUNCEMENT ON COURSES LMBD 1131 AND LMBD 1132 OFFERING & MALAY PLACEMENT TEST (MPT)

SEMESTER 3, 2020/2021

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah brothers and sisters.

1. For those who have already taken Malay Placement Test in Semester 2, 2020/2021 and have not registered for either LMBD 1131 (Bahasa Melayu I) or LMBD 1132, these courses will be offered in Semester 1, 2021/2022. Bahasa Melayu Division does not offer this course in Semester 3, 2020/2021.

2. We also would like to inform all new intake international students that Malay Placement Test will be conducted from 27th – 30th September 2021.

3. The test is taken to determine your proficiency level in Malay. Based on performance in the test, you will be placed in LMBD 1131 (Bahasa Melayu I) or LMBD 1132 (Bahasa Melayu 2) or will be exempted from the course. These courses are part of the Unicore courses of the university which are compulsory for all international undergraduate students of IIUM.
