The Department of Economics and CIE are hosting a special talk by the esteemed Prof. Dr. Abbas Mirakhor titled "Whither Islamic Economics?". The talk focuses on key areas that are critical to the future of Islamic economics and finance.
In addition to the numerous books and articles he has authored, Professor Dr. Abbas Mirakhor was the First Holder Chair of Islamic Finance. He was also a former executive director at the IMF and the winner of the IDB Annual Research Prize in Islamic Economics.
