Gombak, 4 March 2021. More than 30 academics from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) attended a training programme on implementing experiential learning in legal education in the online environment. This is in line with the continuous improvement activities at AIKOL to enhance the delivery of the curriculum during the pandemic.

Participants discussed with Associate Professor Dr Shahrul Mizan bin Ismail - an alumnus of AIKOL who lead the workshop – the necessity to consider constructivism under the learning theories before starting the process of instructional design for experiential learning. Participants discussed their experience in implementing experiential learning and considered the importance to ensure that the ‘cycle of experiential learning’ which includes the reflective observation is put in place. Participants also are put to pace the ‘zone of proximal development’ to take care of the provision for supports to students.
