APPRECIATION CEREMONY FOR IIUM KUANTAN AND GAMBANG FRONTLINERS

KUANTAN, 22 July - - The Office of Campus Director (OCD), IIUM Kuantan Campus organized an appreciation ceremony for IIUM Kuantan and Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM Gambang campus frontliners, here today.
The ceremony is an appreciation to the frontliners who were involved during the Covid-19 pandemic which started in March. The frontliners were honoured to receive a certificate of appreciation for their contributions in making IIUM free from Covid-19.
Among the recipients are staffs from Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @ IIUM (SASMEC), Offices in IIUM Kuantan and Gambang campus. According to Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the Rector of IIUM, IIUM is proud to have these frontliners and it is an honour to give this acknowledgement although it is incomparable to the sacrifices they have made to IIUM community.
“This shows the kind of commitment that they have for the university, very much based on the Islamic spirit and Islamic values, giving when needed”.
“I am very proud of what they have done and hope this will be the attitude and practices that this university will adopt and make it a leading university”, he added.
Prof. Dr. Kamaruzzaman Yunus, the Director of IIUM Kuantan Campus, said he thanked all the frontliners and staffs for the hardwork in making sure IIUM is Covid 19-free campus.
Similar to Mr. Mir Azrul Shaharudin, the Director of CFS IIUM Gambang campus, said this occasion is an unforgettable moment especially to all the frontliners and he thanked the OCD for organizing the ceremony. “In Gambang we have about 114 frontliners working during the Covid-19 pandemic and we must thank them for their time and willingness to work during this period”.
