Gombak, 19 March 2021. Tan Sri Rastam Mohd Isa opines that ASEAN is successful as a regional cooperation organisation second to the European Union. He makes this observation during his online lecture entitled ASEAN and the Making of a Stable, Secure and Prosperous Region as an Adjunct Professor at Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL).  Tan Sri Rastam emphasises that although ASEAN is not without its faults and weaknesses, it is a success nevertheless.

Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib, the Dean of AIKOL, in welcoming Tan Sri Rastam hopes that his long and distinguished career in the diplomatic service would assist in charting the roadmap for the South East Asia Plus (SEA+).  SEA+ is a relatively new research group, led by Dr Nasarudin Abdul Rahman, focusing on issues relating to countries in South East Asia and beyond.
