The Rector of IIUM, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak chaired the coordination meeting in conjunction with the launching ceremony of Centre for Foundation Studies which will be scheduled in March 2020.

Afterwards, the Rector, who was accompanied by Prof. Kamaruzzaman Yunus, Campus Director of IIUM Kuantan Campus, Dean of CFS, Tuan Haji Murshid bin Kassim along with the Director of CFS, Tuan Haji Mir Azrul paid a visit around the campus.

During his tour, the Rector took some time to visit the CFS Sejahtera Zero Hunger project named, CFS Sejahtera Room and he was very satisfied with the initiative led by the Department of Quantitative Studies under the coordination of Mdm. Nur Ahda Sanin, Head of the Department together with all CFS community.

Apart from that, he was also very happy with the Embracing Land for Sustainable Landscape (tree planting) project at the student centre where Asian Pigeonwings plant (Bunga Telang) is trained upon pergola to create a 'crawling plant roof' concept.

CFS has embarked on an SDG project to create environmental friendly campus named CFS Sejahtera with 6 sub-projects under it.
