 IIUM World Debate and Oratory Centre (IWON) would like to congratulate IIUM English Debate Club for their achievements at the Cambridge Intervarsity Debate and Oxford Women’s Open Debate Championship. IIUM participated in four tournaments, namely, Oxford IV, Oxford Women’s Open, Cambridge IV and Cambridge Women’s Open held during 8^th – 18^th November 2019. IWON congratulates the debate teams and members for the following achievements:  

1.    Semi-finalist of the Cambridge IV (ESL Category):  IIUM 1 (Ameer Fahmi Ishak, KIRKHS, Manasir Jisam, KOE)

2.    Top Ten Best Speakers of the Oxford Women’s Open: IIUM debater Sr. Umy Marshita Binti Mohamed Azhar (AIKOL) and Sr. Shafia Zhan Qing Yang (KIRKHS) respectively ranked 6^th and 8^th Best Speaker of the tournament. 

IIUM debater Br. Ibrahim Abdul Halim (AIKOL) also participated in the tournaments.
