IIUM World Debate and Oratory Centre (IWON) would like to congratulate IIUM debaters for their achievements at the HEP-IPTS Intervarsity Debating Championship organised by the International Medical University (IMU). The championship took place during 12^th – 13^th October 2019. IIUM Team Comprising Shitab Daiyan Akash (KENMS) and Khalis Khalid (AIKOL) emerged the champions of the tournament. In the Grand Final, the IIUM team defeated the team from Brickfields Asia College, Sunway University and Taylor’s University. Y.Bhg Dato' Barkhiya Bin Shahiruddin, Ketua Penolong Pengarah Kanan, Bahagian Mahasiswa Holistik, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education presented the awards to the winners. IIUM debater Shitab Daiyan Akash received Overall and Grand Final Best Speaker, while Khalis Khalid received 2^nd Best Speaker of the tournament
