IIUM receives Japan Cultural Grassroot Grant

Gombak, 18 March 2019 - Emeritus Prof. Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, Honorary Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), signed the Cultural Grassroot Grant Contract with His Excellency Dr. Makio Miyagawa, Ambassador of Japan in Malaysia and also member of Board of Governance of IIUM, at the IIUM campus Gombak Senate Hall. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by the Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs and Industrial Linkages, Prof. Dr Isarji Hj Sarudin of IIUM and Mr Simon Kubota, from the Embassy of Japan.
The Kulliyyah of Languages and Management (KLM), which is IIUM’s latest faculty established in 2012 and located at Pagoh Education Hub, Johor, submitted the grant application to the Japanese Embassy last year. The grant amounting to USD26, 784.00 (RM107,698.46) is for the introduction of facilities for online learning of Japanese language at the kulliyyah. Congratulations KLM!
