CiTRA-IIUM in collaboration with IIUM Central Library (Darul Hikmah) have organized an event named Launching of National Laureate Muhammad Haji Salleh Exhibition. The event was conducted on 1st October 2019 at Dar Al-Hikmah Library, IIUM Gombak Campus.

     The event was started with the Al-Quran recitation by Ustaz Abdul Khair Jalil followed by a poetry recitation by Sr. Mariet Rosnaida Cabrera Cusi, International student from Peru.

     The event then proceed with a speech by The Honorable Rector of IIUM, YBhg Emeritus Proffesor Tan Sri Dato Dzulkifli ABdul Razak followed by an inaugural speech by YBhg National Laureate Muhammad Haji Salleh on the topic of "Contribution of Literature To A Contemporary University".

     There were also presentation of books and token of appreciation by YBhg National Laureate Muhammad Haji Salleh, University of Malaya and Institut Terjemahan dan Buku Malaysia (ITBM).

     The exhibition then launched by The Honorable Rector of IIUM, YBhg Emeritus Proffesor Tan Sri Dato Dzulkifli ABdul Razak before the VIPs and the guests visited the Exhibition Area.

     At the end of the event, all the VIPs and guests were having lunch accompanied by singing of YBhg National Laureate Muhammad Haji Salleh's poetry song.
