Expert Profile
Dr Yasir Bin Ismail received his Bachelor of Arabic language from Islamic University of Madinah in 1994. He later gained his Master in Arabic language in 2000 from University of Jordan in the field of Error Analysis and Contrastive Linguistics and completed his PhD thesis entitled “Conditional Sentences in Shahih Bukhari and Shahih Muslim: A Descriptive and Analytical Study” from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2007. He was appointed by Al-Madinah International University, Shah Alam as module writer and course revisor of Arabic language subjects for Bachelor level in 2008. He was also actively involved in debating world as he trained many Arabic debaters at IIUM from 2008 until 2013. Among his top recognition was when he was appointed as an adjudicator for the 1st International Universities Arabic Debating Championship in Doha, Qatar in 2011 when his university, IIUM became the champion. In administration work, he has experience as Deputy Director, Office of Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque from 2013 until 2015.
