Currently Dr. Khairusy is a lecturer in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED). He has a Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Master's in Asset and Facilities Management, and completed his Ph.D in Facilities Management with the research focus on Waste Management.
Besides teaching in the Department of Quantity Surveying, he is actively involved with research activities which cover various areas; waste management, facilities management, carbon management and reading management.
He is also actively involved with the society through professional consultancy activities and community-based activities. He is currently secretary-general for Komuniti Bukuonline Malaysia. His involvement with CIDB and JKR in carbon management has a big impact on the development of Carbon Rating Tools System which will be implemented by the government.
