Dr. Hasan Firdaus Bin Mohd Zaki, an esteemed associate professor and academic advisor at the International Islamic University Malaysia, specializes in computer and robotic vision, deep learning for robotic applications, and unmanned technologies. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Computer Vision) from the University of Western Australia, a MEng in Mechatronics from the University of Malaya, and a BEng (Hons) in Mechatronics from IIUM. He has made significant contributions through his leadership as the Head of Embedded AI at CUTe and has a rich portfolio of internationally refereed publications. His research focuses on advanced computational models for a variety of applications, including autonomous surface vessels, advanced driver assistance system, vision-based automated manufacturing defect detection and volatile organic compounds gas recognition. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Hasan has supervised numerous Ph.D. and Master's students and led workshops on deep learning and computer vision, demonstrating a profound impact on both academia and industry in the field of engineering and technology. Hasan is extensively involved with industries and government agencies as a consultant and subject matter expert. Notable collaborators include KDN, MIMOS Bhd., Delloyd R&D, Malaysia Space Agency (MySA), Prostrain Technologies, MARii, Hidrokinetik Technologies, WNF Resources, among others.
