Lee Pei May is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the International Islamic University Malaysia. She completed her PhD in 2019 under the supervision of Professor Andreas Bieler and Dr. Chun-Yi Lee from University of Nottingham where she worked on her thesis titled ‘Assessing China’s development in the Global Economy: Underdevelopment, Uneven and Combined Development or Developmental Catch-up?’ Her general research interest is in the area of International Political Economy/International Relations, specifically focusing on China.
