Expert Profile
Currently she is an assistant professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), International Islamic University Malaysia, a built environment and art school.
She has held several academic administrative positions including the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs (2008-2010), ICT Coordinator (2011-2013), Head, Department of Landscape Architecture (2001-2002), Course Coordinator, Department of Landscape Architecture - where she had to perform similar to the Head of the department (2000-2001). She was involved in developing the programme structure and courses for the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture programme during her tenure as the Course Coordinator and Head of the Department from 2000 until 2002. She was also involved in several tasks such as the Member of the Examination Committee for the Dept. of Landscape Architecture (July 2012 - June 2013), and the Advisory panel for academic quality compliance committee (Feb-Dec. 2012). She was the Chairman of the organizing committee of the International Conference on Environmental Design, UMRAN2008. She continued to be the chairman for the said event which were organized nationally and locally in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
She was awarded with the best paper award on Sustainability and Innovation in the 4th International Building Control Conference (IBCC) 2016 which was organized by the University of Malaya for her paper entitled Urban Outdoor Thermal Comfort of the Hot-Humid Region. On 3rd November 2016, she was appointed by the Institute of Landscape Architects of Malaysia (ILAM) as one of the committee members of the Green Building Index (GBI) Township Focus Group, focusing on the Climate, Energy, and Water.
Currently she is the Chairman of the IIUM EDUCARE Gombak Parents and Teachers Committee (March 2015- February 2017). She was the Deputy Chairman for the said committee from June 2013 until March 2015.
